One great philosopher has rightly said, “Knowledge is the key to success.” Nothing can be more enduring or reliable than books as sources of knowledge. It is a well-established fact that any form of education remains incomplete without easy access to quality books. In this regard, a well-equipped library serves as an essential pillar of the educational framework, offering a vast collection of books and other learning materials to meet the diverse academic and intellectual needs of students.
The school library houses a sufficient and systematically organized collection of books covering the entire range of the prescribed curriculum, along with reference books, periodicals, and general reading materials. From academic textbooks to encyclopedias, biographies to science journals, the library plays a crucial role in nurturing reading habits, critical thinking, and research skills among students. Library enrichment is a continuous and evolving process, made possible through regular financial assistance from the State Government. This ensures timely addition of new titles and updated editions, keeping the resources relevant and useful. Books and other printed materials are issued to students and teachers under various schemes, including the textbook lending program, for a defined period, thus making the library an active and accessible part of the teaching-learning process.
Additionally, the library also supports various academic activities such as reading campaigns, book exhibitions, literary events, and competitions, further promoting a culture of learning and intellectual curiosity within the school community.
